CJ-A1 is an independent artist, rapper, songwriter, producer, investor and performing artist.

I grew up in Sebokeng Unit 13 later on migrated to Bophelong Extension 18. 

My whole entire childhood, I had been looking for my mother’s love. She passed on when I was 8 years old. I had a lot of anger issues growing up, which made me fight a lot at school, failed 5th and 6th grade in a row, because nothing in this world could replace my mother’s love and the love I had for her. While I was holding on to grief, I was raised by my aunty, my big brother and my sister. They helped me to take care of myself and make the right choices in this life.

I meet 2wisted arrow when I was in senior school. He introduced me to music and, the first time I ever recorded a track, it felt like I was healing from all the damage hidden inside me.

However, this wasn’t the only reason I started rapping. Along the way, I fell in love with a woman that changed the way I look at life. The lesson was to realize that there are women that can build you and ones that can destroy you (remember that).

I pursue a music career to give out knowledge and wisdom about things we can’t see deep within a woman and better yet not understand, such a beautiful creation.
